  2. Upload images

Drag and drop your images onto the upload area, or click to select files. Multiple files can be processed at once.

  3. Download compressed images

The original size, compressed size, and reduction ratio are shown for each file. Click Download to save the result.

FAQ

At 80% quality, WebP and JPEG compression typically reduces file size by 50–80% compared to the original. PNG uses lossless compression, so Canvas-based conversion may not reduce the size much or may even increase it. For significant size reduction, choose WebP or JPEG.

For web publishing, WebP is recommended — it achieves 20–30% smaller file sizes than JPEG at equivalent quality, and all modern browsers support it. For email attachments, social media, or situations where broad compatibility matters, JPEG is the safer choice.

No. All compression happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never sent to any external server.

No. This tool only applies quality-based compression — pixel dimensions remain unchanged. If you need to resize an image, use the Image Resizer tool.
