FAQ

The Pomodoro Technique is a time-management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. It breaks work into 25-minute focused intervals (called Pomodoros) separated by 5-minute breaks. After four Pomodoros, a longer break of 15–30 minutes is taken. The regular breaks reduce mental fatigue and help sustain concentration over long work sessions.

Yes. Open Timer Settings to customize the focus duration (1–90 min), short break (1–30 min), long break (5–60 min), and the number of sessions before a long break (2–8). Changes take effect immediately when the timer is paused or reset.

No. The timer runs entirely in your browser and stops when the tab is closed. Keep the tab open while you work. Enabling browser notifications lets you receive desktop alerts even while viewing other tabs.

Open Timer Settings and click the Off button next to Browser notifications. Your browser will ask for permission. Once granted, you will receive a desktop notification each time a session or break ends. If you entered a task name, it will appear in the notification.

No. Your task name and session statistics exist only in the browser's memory and are cleared when you reload the page. Nothing is transmitted to external servers.
